The Switch-On

Music star Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be performing three tracks on the Tower Festival Headland. She will then pull the switch to trigger the four month long light show, a dazzling spectacle that will light up the seafront skyline!

Once the illuminations burst into life, there will be a specially commissioned sound and light show, synchronised with spectators’ LED wristbands. A glorious fireworks finale will wrap up the evening with a bang!

The Lightpool Festival

The award-winning Lightpool Festival will be returning once again, from 20^th to 28^th October, with a stunning display of light installations, 3D projection shows and live performances.

The Blackpool Illuminations are one of the UK’s most well-known attractions, and once again the display will be shining bright over the Christmas period – all the way up to the 1^st of January 2024!
