UK Leisure Parks was established over 30 years ago when Myles & Kerry McCarthy bought and developed their first residential park in Cheshire.
In recent years, a second generation has taken on a major role in overseeing daily operations and growth. The family share a passion for providing quality parks that provide security and peace of mind. Indeed, putting customers first is at the very heart of their business ethos. Seeing a gap in the market for quiet, quality parks with tasteful landscaping in secure, gated environments, the search was on to find suitable locations to roll out the UK Leisure Parks portfolio.
UK Leisure Parks currently offer a wide variety of different options on different parks including residential, holiday and touring.
The growth of UK Leisure Parks is in no small part down to the emphasis on family values. Creating communities of likeminded people, who share traditional values of courtesy and respect, is what makes a UK Leisure Parks truly special.
The flourishing business still has the family at its helm, with the second generation now also taking on the role as working directors. Each park has a small team overseeing every area of park life who work closely with Myles Snr and sons Thomas and Miles Jnr.
UK Leisure Parks now have locations across Lancashire and also in Cheshire, Yorkshire and Merseyside. Whilst the parks share that same sense of neighbourly, friendly retreats – each one has a unique character, partially influenced by the nature of its location.

As UK Leisure Parks continue to grow – with Six Arches in Garstang being the latest addition to the family, the focus will continue to be a commitment to maintaining the founding values of the family.
