Explore Roddlesworth Reservoir and Woodland Walk

The Lancashire hamlet of Roddlesworth offers a peaceful and picturesque countryside walk. At just under 4 miles, this relaxing route is filled with the calming sounds from Roddlesworth stream, phenomenal views, and is perfectly pet-friendly.

The walk starts and ends at the Hare and Hounds Pub in Abbey Village – the ideal place for some fantastic pub grub and a refreshing pint upon your return!

Rock out at Highest Point Festival: Lancashire’s biggest open-air music festival

Whether you are a music aficionado, free spirit, or just come for the craft beer, Highest Point Festival is the event to be at this May! With headline acts Richard Ashcroft, Clean Bandit and The Kaiser Chiefs, there are artists for everyone.

Highest Point Festival is set at one of the most beautiful UK event sites, Williamson Park, based in enchanting woodland overlooking the breath-taking Morecambe Bay and Lake District mountains.

Rev yourself up for the Hoghton Tower Motorcycle Sprint

The classic and longstanding motorbike event at Hoghton is the 45th one that this historic venue has held, and will see bikes of all classes will take on the challenge of the Hoghton Tower track race against the clock.

There will be lots of food to enjoy on the day, so bring the whole family along for an adrenaline-filled day out!

Enjoy a relaxing picnic at the scenic Barley Picnic Site

Set in the beautiful village of Barley, and at the foot of the magnificent Pendle Hill, Barley Picnic Site is a great location from which to trek the Pendle Witches Trail or the Pendle Way.
