If you’re a homeowner, you can apply for a Green Homes Grant voucher, which would go towards the cost of installing energy efficient technologies and improvements to your home.
Such improvements may include home insulation to reduce energy use, or low-carbon heating installation to lower your home’s carbon dioxide production.
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE?
The voucher must be redeemed and improvements completed by 31st March 2021.
HOW MUCH IS THE VOUCHER WORTH?
Vouchers will cover two-thirds of the cost of eligible improvements, up to a maximum government contribution of £5,000.
However, if you, or someone in your household, receive certain benefits, you may be eligible for a voucher which covers 100% of the cost, with the maximum value of the voucher being £10,000.
ELIGIBILITY
You may be eligible if you live in England and:
• you own your own park home on a residential site
• you own your own home (including long-leaseholders and shared ownership)
WHAT CAN THE VOUCHER BE USED FOR?
You can use the Simple Energy Advice (SEA) website to check which improvements may be best suited to your home.
The voucher must be used to install one primary measure, and can then be used to help cover the cost of any secondary measures.

• flat roof insulation
• pitched roof insulation
• room in roof insulation
• insulating a park home
Low carbon heat:
• air source heat pump
• ground source heat pump
• solar thermal
• biomass boiler
• hybrid heat pump
Secondary measures:
Windows and doors:
• draught proofing
• double or triple glazing
• secondary glazing
• energy efficient replacement doors
Heating controls and insulation:
• hot water tank thermostat
• hot water tank insulation
• heating controls (e.g. appliance thermostats, smart heating controls)
