A visit to the famous Pilling Pottery is worthwhile as well as the excellent cuisine of nearby restaurants and country pubs. The Lancashire Coastal Way runs just to the north of the village and offers ample opportunities from which to view the local countryside, with views to the Lake District across Morecambe Bay.
The location offers many countryside and coastal footpaths with adjoining lanes that allow ample opportunity for walking and cycling. The area is very popular with birdwatchers, golfers and fishermen. The bright lights of Blackpool are less than 12 miles away with Lancaster just 10 miles from the park.
Motorway access to the M6 is 7 miles away at Jct. 33.
